One of the challenging experiences of working parents is their need to hire for support. While finding the means to sustain their family, they also need people to supervise and watch over their children. Caregivers have always been a part of the Filipino family. They give extra support while parents attend to their professions and businesses. While parent extends their time to attend to their children after work, they also rely on skilled and reliable people to carry out their ways at home. 
 
More than the housekeeping services, caregivers are responsible for the schedules, routines, and supervision of the children's activities at home. They need to have training on how to become effective handlers of children. Their skilled approach and balanced response will contribute significantly to the children's well-being and independence. 
 
The module will cover the following topics:
 
a) Understanding the importance of routines and schedules.
b) The means to communicate effectively.
c) The ways and means to facilitate their self-regulation and independence.
d) They can work hand in hand with the parents to maintain consistency and apt supervision. 
e) Having sensitivity and direction when responding to the children's needs.
 
Caregivers play a vital role in raising diverse learners who are independent and well-regulated. We provide this module to highlight their importance and give them the necessary training.
