- Life is equivalent to time. Our time on earth is the life that we spend based on our choices. The length of time we get to spend is relative to the opportunities we have and the limitations that go with them. It varies from person to person. Some have lengthier journeys while others are stopped short. Some will have the chance to experience everything within their reach while others may fall short of their expected standards. Quality of life comes with different meanings and we all have our ways of defining it. Life has a starting point and like a movie, it too has a conclusion. A fact we sometimes think about and a fact that we sometimes forget. It depends upon the number of distractions we have in our daily occupations, and we sometimes brush off the inevitable. Like how seasons pass and how leaves fall in autumn, we all take part in life's coming and going.
Every good question will always yield good answers. If someone asks you, "What will you do with life if you have 10 years to live?" What will you do with those 10 years? How different will the answers be if you only have 5 years? The fact that we don't know when our time will be, adds to the suspense of our already precarious existence. It forces us to take small steps like how we put the puzzle pieces together. We can only hold one piece at a time, with great faith that somehow, in the randomness of things, it will form a beautiful image. We call it, meaning or purpose, a product of our creation, our masterpiece.
Entering an art gallery is like taking a peek at someone else's creation, the different materials they used, the strokes they made, and the product they wish to materialize. We are there to appreciate their unique expressions and understand their deep longings. We envy their dedication and go home inspired. That is the fate of men. When our time comes, people gather to take a peek at our life's creation, to see how we lived our lives, the choices we made, and the legacy we hope to pass on. Life truly is the sum equivalent of our creations.
How much dedication then are we willing to put in and create this masterpiece? Would it be something we enjoy doing or something that we had to do? What price are we willing to pay to make it happen? Would it be something we are proud to pass on? Life is never complicated if we fully capture this unique opportunity. We are here to create and we are here to pass it on.
Fulfillment is man's ultimate goal. That's what makes us wake up every day and immerse ourselves in the struggles. One puzzle piece at a time, eventually, it will all make sense. Life requires faith in the unseen. Belief in the unexplainable. Time should not be wasted answering the "Why" because the answers to these questions will just present themselves at the right time.
Live life to the fullest and live it responsibly. Offer a day of gratitude and always be at peace with yourself. Life doesn't have to be complicated. Let your legacy be your witness. Let the memories be your words of love.
